SAMSUNG LAUNCHES THE SECOND-GENERATION OF THE GALAXY A SMARTPHONES (A3,A5 and A7)
Samsung has announced the second-generation of Galaxy A smartphones – say hello to the new A3, A5 and A7. The company has worked to improve on what was already featured in the original family of Galaxy A handsets and will launch the second wave in China this month, followed by global markets.
There are three screen options and spec configurations available, A3 being the smallest and entry model at just 4.7-inches, A5 is in the middle with a 5.2-inch display, and finally the A7 with its 5.5-inch screen and advanced features. It’s a premium looking phone with a combination of both metal and glass to create an appealing look and comfortable feel. There’s even a fingerprint sensor for added security.
Unfortunately, they’re still running Android 5.1, and not the newer Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Specifications wise, for the A3 we’re looking at a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2,300mAh battery, 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage. There’s a 13MP shooter on the rear and a 5MP camera on the front. The A5 has a 1.6GHz octa-core processor, 2,900mAh battery, same camera setup and 2GB of RAM. Finally, the A7 has the same processor as the A5, camera and storage configurations as the two siblings, but ups the game with a sizable 3,300mAh battery, 3GB of RAM and the 5.5-inch SAMOLED display.
Unfortunately, Samsung failed to disclose the prices of the new Galaxy A (2016) smartphones, though we predict it to be of a similar range to the previous generation. As mentioned earlier, we expect to see these devices launch outside China in the new year. What is your opinion regarding the new Galaxy A smartphones?. . Would you get one for yourself? Comment below
